With a great location only 8 minutes by train from London Bridge, this family-run inn offers quality accommodation combined with the atmosphere of a traditional English pub.
The Wishing Well is known locally as a great place to stay. Well-appointed bedrooms sit above the cosy pub, which also boasts a games room. Enjoy a game of pool or darts, or watch major sporting events on the big screen TV from the Chesterfield sofas. If 2 major events occur at the same time, a second screen is available.
Due to its location the inn was often used as the setting for the successful TV series, ?Only Fools and Horses'. A photo of ?Delboy?, signed by David Jason, sits above the bar.
Hotel Information
Thursday evening is quiz night. Everyone can enter, free of charge, and the winner gets a case of beer.
For private parties, the games room is available for hire. The room has a capacity for 80 people. The kitchen can arrange buffet type food to meet your budget or you can arrange your own food. A full sound system and dance area with disco lights is available. A DJ can also be arranged for you, or you can provide your own (decks required).
Transport
By Train:
The inn is conveniently located only 5 minutes' walk from Peckham Rye train station, where there are direct trains every 15-20 minutes into London Bridge station (every 10 minutes during the day).
From London Waterloo/Eurostar:
- Take the train from Waterloo to Elephant and Castle.
- From there, take the train direct to Peckham Rye.
- Coming out of the station, turn right at the end of the passage into Blenheim Grove.
- Walk straight ahead until you reach Bellenden Road.
- Turn left and walk straight up the road on the left-hand side.
- The inn is located on the corner of Choumert Road and Bellenden Road.

Sunday Lunch time you can come and enjoy your favourite pint along with snacks at the bar.
