Built in 1905, the Fountain House is situated in Hayes, not far from Windsor. The building was once a school where the famous writer George Orwell lived and taught.

The hotel is approximately 7 miles (11.3 km) from London Heathrow Airport. The number 140 bus will take you from the airport into Hayes.
By Car (from the M4 motorway):
- From the M4, turn off at the A312 towards Harrow.
- Pass the first roundabout and at the second roundabout, turn left onto the A4020 towards Uxbridge.
- When you see the Adam and Eve pub on your right, turn left into Church Road, which is directly opposite the pub.
